SCE | Community Safety during Wildfire Season
As California continues to experience a year-round fire season, SCE wants to make sure communities are informed and prepared as they implement their Wildlife Mitigation Plan. To support residents, SCE hosted a variety of virtual events to provide communities with information about Public Safety Power Shutoff protocol, how to best prepare for emergencies, and receive an overview of SCE customer programs and services. As many of you may know, last year the SJVCEO partnered with PG&E to develop a virtual “Vlog Series” to enhance customer awareness on rate options, utility resources, and the time of use transition. Happy Black History Month!
I am excited for another opportunity to celebrate this month and to share experiences with you all. Over the years, in the spirit of Black History month, we have celebrated African American individuals that have greatly impacted our communities and also talked about the importance of celebrating Black History Month. Last year’s article talked about why representation matters and why it is important for us to tell our own story. This year, I would like to expand upon one of the ideas initially touched upon in last year’s article and explore its impact on all of our futures.
