It’s one thing to find success as an organization but another entirely to be a part of a winning team. This month we’re not just talking about Team SJVCEO, but project teams—groups representing varying interests and constituents to create something bigger, something better, something like…Voltron.
While Team SJVCEO has been a part of many project teams over the years, we are incredibly proud to have applied to form a Rural Regional Energy Network (RuralREN) with six other agencies this month. While we still have a long road ahead towards approval, we are honored by the trust of our fellow rural implementers to be a part of this effort!
To the Redwood Coast Energy Authority: from the karaoke bars of downtown Riverside to organizing a mermaid uprising against cost effectiveness, we will always be your red lion!
Courtney’s Picks
We operate under a ‘big tent’ philosophy, that there’s room for us all in energy and energy efficiency. We will and do work with anyone and everyone in pursuit of pragmatic solutions to rural issues and to bring about energy equity for our communities. We operate this way because we understand we are great on our own, but we are so much more impactful when we are part of a team.

On my song choices you may think to yourself, “how are these combinations going to sound good?” Well trust me when you combine opposites in music it can make some of the best songs! My personal favorite is the Post Malone/Ozzy Osbourne, Travis Scott song and a forewarning--it may go on repeat in your head once you listen to it. Enjoy!

Outside of the SJVCEO team of course, a few of my favorite “project teams” have produced the songs below. There is truly nothing better than when a handful of musical artists join to create a new song! Some songs below were dedicated to charitable orgs while the others are like (or not so like) artists creating a new project team. Enjoy!
Mercy, Kanye West, Pusha T, Big Sean, and 2 Chainz
