This month’s #GotGrants is going to look slightly different! ICARP developed a “Resilience Funding and Financing Program Timeline” graphic that tracks a variety of funding programs for jurisdictions and organizations to take advantage of. Opportunities from the CA Dept of Food and Ag, Cal EPA, and CA Natural Resources Agency are just a few agencies that are providing program funding. Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program (AHSC)
Who: Local governments, Transportation and transit agencies, Non-profit and for-profit housing developers, Joint powers authorities, K-12 school, college and university districts, and/or Federally recognized Indian tribes
What: AHSC provides funding for affordable housing developments (new construction or renovation) and transportation infrastructure. This may include sustainable transportation infrastructure, such as new transit vehicles, sidewalks, and bike lanes; transportation-related amenities
When: Applications scheduled to open Q4 of 2022

Conservation Agriculture Planning Grants Program
Who: Eligible entities include Tribes, technical service providers (TSPs) registered with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), professional certified crop advisors, pest control advisors, rangeland managers, non-profit organizations, Resource Conservation Districts, California Public Universities, agricultural cooperatives, groundwater sustainability agencies, and farmers and ranchers in collaboration with a qualified planner
What: The Conservation Agriculture Planning Grants Program (CAPGP) is a new program in the Office of Environmental Farming and Innovation. This program will fund the development of plans that will help farmers and ranchers identify actions for climate change mitigation and adaptation, further environmental stewardship on farms and ranches and ensure agricultural food security into the future
When: Applications are due October 23, 2022, 5 PM Pacific Time
How Much: Applicants may apply for up to $250,000 to prepare conservation agriculture plans
Infrastructure Grant Program Notice of Funding Availability for Small Jurisdictions
Who: A city, county, city and county, or public housing authority that has jurisdiction over a Qualifying Infill Area.“ Public housing authority” may include a Tribally Designated Housing Entity; or A nonprofit or for-profit Developer of a Qualifying Infill Project that has received a letter of support from the governing body of the city, county, or city and county that has jurisdiction over a Qualifying Infill Project.
What: The primary goal of IIG-2019 is to promote infill housing development by providing financial assistance for Capital Improvement Projects (Capital Improvement Projects or CIP) that are an integral part of, or necessary to facilitate the development of, a Qualifying Infill Project (Qualifying Infill Project or QIP) or a Qualifying Infill Area (Qualifying Infill Area or QIA). Under the Program, grants are available as gap funding for infrastructure improvements necessary for specific residential or mixed-use infill development projects or areas.
When: Small Jurisdictions: over-the-Counter applications accepted August 25, 2022 through September 22, 2022
How Much: Approximate funding available for small jurisdictions- $90 million
