August Spotify | The Industry Series, Part I: SELF AUDIT

A professional energy audit will provide the most accurate opportunities to address energy loss in your home or business, but a simple yet diligent walk-through can spot many problem areas.  This self-audit, or “Do it Yourself” approach will not result in as thorough an assessment as say an ASHRAE Level 2, the same way self-reflection won’t go as deep as psychotherapy, but you have to start someplace!

Take a walk with the SJVCEO as we self-audit our own mind palaces on this month’s playlist

If you work for a public agency you can send a request to info@sjvcleanenergy.org and we can assess your facilities at no cost to you!

Courtney’s Picks:
Stubborn? Yep. Borderline obstinate?  Sure.  Demanding, persistent, opinionated, risk-oriented? All the above.  But also hopeful, optimistic, and loyal AF, so all in all not so bad.

I Love It, Icona Pop, Charlie XCX
Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong, Spin Doctors
American Girl, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Umbrella, Rihanna, JAY-Z

Sam’s Picks:
Selecting songs that speak to your internal voice can feel challenging, but an exercise I recommend others try! I felt taken back by the songs that made it on to my short list. Sure, they seem a bit bipolar, but all speak to a feeling I relate to. My song choices connect to me through rising above, the importance of friendship, a glass-half-full outlook, and a love of dancing!

Pardon Me, Incubus
Wannabe, Spice Girls
Steal My Sunshine, LEN
Dancing Queen, ABBA

Kelsey’s Picks:
Per usual, selecting songs that reflect me leads to an endless list of choices. To make it easier I chose the first four that popped into my head when this month’s topic was decided. Most of these songs fall into the Alt Rock category (apart from One Direction of course, very Pop) that all bring a smile to my face or take me back to a specific moment in time. Enjoy!

Better Days, Goo Goo Dolls
Little Wonders, Rob Thomas
Fireproof, One Direction
Light Outside, Wakey! Wakey!

Rochelle’s Picks:
A self-audit not only exposes those areas to improve but allows us the chance to acknowledge and celebrate all those things we’ve gotten right! The act of a self-audit should also include finding peace in just being you.

Video, India Arie,
Doo Wop (That Thing), Lauren Hill
My Life, Mary J. Blige
Broken Clocks, SZA
