It is always a great day when we see energy related stories into the news, but even better when this news is coming from our own backyard. Our California communities are making strides and creating change where change is needed. Enhancing access to employment into a region that is often overlooked by countless programs and opportunities makes this news even better.
So what specific news piece am I referring to? The Fresno Bee reported last week that “ChargerHelp, the first and only on-demand repair app for EV (electric vehicle) charging stations, has set up in Fresno, and will begin hiring for technician jobs for maintenance of EV stations.” For some background information, ChargerHelp! services EV charging stations across the country via an app platform. Customers can report problems with their station and have a ChargerHelp! technician arrive to resolve the issue- innovation at its finest. Not only will this service be greatly utilized here in the Valley, but the article also emphasizes the organization’s mission to create jobs in the midst of recovering from COVID-19 and promoting this clean energy career pathway. “We enable on demand repair of electric vehicle charging stations by utilizing your local workforce.” Highlighting the importance of local workforce is why ChargerHelp! can be a breakthrough organization in today’s world of green, clean technology.
Often times, when visiting a company’s website, there is not a specific section that is dedicated to their promise surrounding workforce development or anything of that sort. ChargerHelp! eliminates that frequent fact. Leveraging the opportunity to expand and localize their employee makeup is at the forefront of their mission.
