SoCalGas Planning Grants to Support Climate Adaptation and Resiliency
Who: Local government organizations (cities, counties, municipal planning organizations, council of governments) that provide programs in communities in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Imperial, Kern, Kings, Ventura, Tulare, Santa Barbara, Fresno, and San Luis Obispo.
What: An advisory panel of planning and sustainability experts will select the winning applications from across Southern and Central California. Local governments that are participating in vulnerability assessments, climate adaptation and resiliency plans, or updating their local hazard mitigation plans to address climate adaptation through their General Plan process are eligible to apply.
When: Deadline 11/12/2021
How Much: Three grants for $50,000 each

EPA EJ4Climate: Environmental Justice and Climate Resilience
Who: non-profit and non-governmental organizations, environmental groups, community-based associations, tribal nations, and Indigenous Peoples and communities
What: A grant program that supports underserved and vulnerable communities, and Indigenous communities, in Canada, Mexico, and the United States to prepare for climate-related impacts.
When: Deadline on 11/14/2021
How Much: CEC encourages applicants to submit proposals up to $200,000

Small Community Drought Relief Program
Who: Nonprofit Public Agency Tribal Government
What: The purpose of the Small Community Drought Relief Program is to provide immediate and near-term financial and technical support to help small communities survive this and future droughts.
When: until program funds are exhausted, application deadline 12/29/2023
How Much: total program funding- $192,000,000
