Courtney’s Picks:
Not to play favorites here, but I heavily favor Jay over Bey in this pairing.  I’m here for chauvinist Jay just as much as I am for repentant Jay; I’m of that age where I feel like I grew up and got myself together right alongside. Of course, on a way smaller scale.  I appreciate the frank honesty (“I’ll f*** up a good thing if you let me…”) and watching the story unfold.

Do I buy into the Illuminati story, nah.  Do I buy into the love story, 100%.

Young Forever, Jay-Z, Mr. Hudson
Family Feud, Jay-Z, Beyoncé
All Night, Beyoncé
MOOD 4 EVA, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Childish Gambino, Oumou Sangare)

Sam’s Picks:
I cannot think of any two performers more iconic that Beyonce and Jay-Z, so consider my song choices an ode to old Bey and Jay all the way through to the new and improved icons. Let’s plug in to songs that uplift the day!

’03 Bonnie & Clyde, Beyoncé & Jay-Z
Izzo (H.O.V.A.), Jay-Z
Upgrade U, Beyoncé & Jay-Z
XO, Beyoncé

Kelsey’s Picks:
Beyoncé and Jay-Z reign as King and Queen of music across the world and rightfully so! I had the good fortune to witness their talents in unison at the On the Run II tour in late 2018, which remains one of the best concerts I’ve experienced.  I just wish I could list all their songs here!

Déjà Vu, Beyoncé (feat Jay-Z)
Beautiful Liar, Beyoncé (feat Shakira)
APESHIT, The Carters
Run This Town, Jay-Z, Rihanna, and Kanye West

Rochelle’s Picks:
Black Effect says,

“Can you tell us about love?
Hmmm Well, there is love of children
Love of self
Love of God
Love of a partner
And all of them have a different shape
But all of them is the same in the end…”

I love to celebrate Bey and Jay as artists because so much of their music expresses the many different forms of love in unique ways.

Black Parade, Beyoncé
Public Service Announcement, Jay-Z
Black Effect, The Carters
Brown Skin Girl, Blue Ivy, SAINt JNH, Beyoncé, & Wizkid
